The WilliamVintage Store

I am delighted to announce a wonderful and exciting new chapter for WilliamVintage, the launch of the WilliamVintage store in central London!

WilliamVintage has gone from strength to strength in 2010 and after succesful sales where vintage Ossie Clark, vintage Dior couture and vintage Jean Desses walked out the door with their delighted new owners, I have increasingly been asked to offer private appointments in addition to the WilliamVintage day sales and the new store will allow a whole new level of vintage to be available.

The WilliamVintage store is in London’s fashion mecca, Marylebone, only moments from Bond Street and Harley Street and is a store filled with beautifully presented vintage clothing and haute couture that I have discovered around the world; an edited, wearable collection of fine vintage in perfect condition and displayed in calm and chic surroundings.

The WilliamVintage store is spread over two floors; decorated in our trademark palette, subtly lit and delicately scented with Diptyque candles. The store features beautifully presented clothing set over the two floors and key WilliamVintage pieces are displayed with bespoke shoes by my favourite shoe designer, Natacha Marro, whose devotees include Daphne Guinness, Gwen Stefani, Chloe Sevigny and Grace Jones.

So many ‘exclusive’ vintage shops seem to make their clients feel nervous and unworthy and the overall process rather stressful. I felt there was another way to provide fine vintage clothing and haute couture and was determined that the WilliamVintage store would be where the clothing was impeccable, the environment comfortable and the overall experience fun. Just as at a WilliamVintage day sale, it is important to me that a client leaves feeling better about herself!

This is why I have decided to make the WilliamVintage store by appointment only; not a decision to be foreboding and snotty but rather to ensure that every visitor has the freedom of the whole store, the ability to relax and try on anything and to have my undivided attention as every visitor will be looked after by me personally.

The store is also perfect for small groups and is perfectly suited to a visit with friends to try on clothes, to ask me for ideas for a special event and to discuss options with friends while having a chilled glass of something delicious.

The WilliamVintage store opened on Monday 15th November and can be found at 2 Marylebone Street, London W1G 8JQ. To visit the store, please email [email protected] or telephone 0207 487 4322 and I hope to see you at WilliamVintage soon!
